On Wednesday, June 24, PerAspera President Brian S. Pauls celebrated his graduation with the 2009 class of Leadership Overland Park.  Along with 29 other members, Brian joined an exclusive group of members of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce.

During the course of the program, Brian took part in nine sessions focused on city, county and state government, as well as community issues such as development, education and quality of life.  The goal of the program is,  “To ensure the continuing vitality of the community by providing a solid source of motivated leaders who are educated about the community and its issues, as well as trained to accept future leadership roles in the Overland Park area.”

During his time in the program, Brian worked with other members to produce a final project focused on an important community issue.  His group interviewed the Overland Park City Manager, John Nachbar, about the prospect of an Overland Park entertainment district.  The entire class was recognized at a luncheon on June 24th attended by Overland Park Mayer Carl Gerlach.

How often do you back up your data? If you are like many small business owners, the answer is, "not often enough?"

Online back-up is a great solution--but sometimes you just want to make a copy (or copies!) of all those valuable photos, CAD files, or audio and video recordings, and take them home, or drop them off at the safe-deposit box, so you can rest easily at night.

Backup tapes have always been a hassle, and removable data cartridges can be a little pricey.

That's the niche the Thermaltake BlackX Duet was created to fill. This ultra-affordable dual-hard drive chassis allows you to turn any old SATA drive into a removable data cartridge, for a fraction of the cost.

Such a bare-bones approach to data backup is not for everyone--but if you are looking for a simple and cost-effective way to produce multiple redundant copies of your most critical data, this is a solution that is hard to beat.
